Consultation starts with a meeting to agree the objectives of your shoot.
For example do you prefer black and white or colour, studio or location, candid or formal, props or no props?
We discuss the types of clothes you might wear in order to achieve the results you are looking for.
We discuss how long the shoot will take and how many images you are looking to achieve.
I also explain the service and the charges so that you know exactly what to expect for the fee without surprises or hidden extras.
Depending on the location of the Shoot an initial period may be required for setup.
Every opportunity will be taken during this initial interaction to make the subject (especially children and reluctant adults) feel comfortable and at ease.
Its a fact that relaxed customers take better photographs.
On the day of the shoot I typically take about two hundred images - more for larger groups.
Providing everyone is happy we continue until we are sure that we have an excellent selection of images to choose from.
Post Production is performed to maximise the potential of every single image.
Cropping, digital retouching, resizing, colour adjustments and many more techniques are employed to improve the images from the shoot without spoiling the integrity of the subject.
Film purists say this is cheating - Digital purists say this is modern photography.
I say this is an essential step designed to delight the customer.
From the shoot I will select the best images. There will be a minimum of 20 shots that make it to the final cut, but don't worry if there are more than 20 great shots you will get to see them all.
The only images you won't see are those containing tired eyes, blinks, yawns or poor composition.
One of the advantages of the Taste Photography approach is that the customer owns the copyright to the images - hence no hefty printing costs or reorder fees. The only condition I place on this approach is that I get the final say on quality control.
All selected images will be posted on a personal customer online gallery which will be accessible for a minimum of 6 months
Fulfillment is the final stage of the process.
You will receive a Compact Disc with all of your final images in high resolution. You will also receive low resolution equivalents which are great for sharing via email or social networking websites.
Remember our standard proposition is an end to end digital service and we do not provide prints as standard but physical outputs can be arranged if required. - this is the only additional cost you will find with our service.
Prices can be quoted for prints, frames, photo books, calendars, canvas prints and more.
